This section of the site is where I get to share the great books, movies, gifts I discovered while researching for my own kids while raising Hitoshi and Michiko, my wonderful son and daughter.
Hopefully my notes (divided into approximate age groups) will help you choose a gift and/or entertain a kid in ways you may not think of.
Young kids should never have to register for a website ("nervous Nelly" patterns likely won't let kids register for a website) so you will NOT find kid's material in the "Extras" section. Parents however will find a ton of tips and ideas and references in the "Extras" section, if they register.
