Setting up a system DSN on Windows 95/NT
©1998, 1999 by Rob Martinson rob.martinson@directionsmag.com
The easiest way to begin learning ASP, is to install Microsoft PWS, and develop
locally. To do this, you must also setup a DSN (Data Source Name) on your machine, if you
wish to use any of ASP's database access abilities. This tutorial is meant to walk you
through the process of setting up a system DSN on your Windows machine.

The first step, after you have PWS installed, is to open your control panel and select
the 32bit ODBC Data Source Administrator icon (shown below).

There are many worthy charities!!. But perhaps help starving children in Africa or South America AND help Charles too.
a $5 tip buys him lunch at McDonalds,
a $20 tip buys his kid Hitoshi a new computer game,
a $39 tip buys his daughter Michiko a few nice outfits.
See our donor list.
